Three injured, one dead after intersection crash

The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department reported a crash Friday that left one dead and three injured.

Reported just after 3:30 in the afternoon, the incident occurred at the intersection of State Highway 74 and Lindsay Road in Pewaukee, Wis. A 79 year-old woman and 83 year-old man were traveling in a van, going west on Lindsay Road, when they were struck by a southbound delivery truck, which was driven by a 53 year-old man. The force of the collision drove the vehicles into a 20 year-old man’s car stopped at the intersection. He was waiting in the southbound lane of Highway 74.

According to the police reports, the 83 year-old man, driver of the truck, and driver of the car were all taken to nearby hospitals, while the accident claimed the life of the 79 year-old woman. No reports were issued on the level of injuries sustained by the other people involved in the truck accident.
