Man killed in single-vehicle rollover accident

A firefighter and paramedic from Trevor was killed last Saturday in a single-vehicle rollover accident.

According to Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department deputies, the man’s truck rolled over as he was driving along the 12200 block of 204th Avenue (Highway B) in Salem. He then struck a utility pole, which snapped in half and fell onto the truck.

The case has since been handed to the Lake County Sheriff’s department, as it occurred just over state lines.

Authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, although investigation is ongoing.
