Areas around Wisconsin experience traffic disturbances due to slippery roads, snowfall

Heavy snowfall on Monday, February 4th, caused Milwaukee’s streets to be slippery and accident-prone reports from various sheriffs’ departments in the area showed. According to Milwaukee Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Fran McLaughlin, the department attended to 13 vehicle crashes and 16 disabled vehicles in a span of just a few hours that morning. The Washington County sheriff’s office received reports of a spin-out, two slide-offs, three crashes, two vehicles getting stuck in ditches, and one car accident with sustained injuries at Highways 41 and K. Authorities in Waukesha County reported an incident of a car getting stuck in a ditch. Meanwhile, incidents of slide-offs and some accidents did occur, but no injuries were recorded by the Racine County Sheriff’s Office.

Wintery weather brings with it an increased risk of roadway accidents taking place, making reckless driving decisions even more dangerous than at other times of year. If you or someone you love has been injured in a car accident caused by a reckless driver who failed to take appropriate precautions in bad weather, contact the experienced attorneys of Habush Habush & Rottier, today by calling (262) 523-4700.
