Car crash on State Highway 16 kills two women, wounds three others

Two women perished in a motor vehicle accident on September 9 in Waukesha County, Wisconsin when their black Nissan crossed the median on State Highway 16 and collided with oncoming traffic.

Oconomowoc resident Glenda Skalecki and West Bend local Karen Gulley were heading east on State Highway 16 when their Nissan veered away from the roadway and met oncoming traffic as they crossed over the median.

The Nissan hit a vehicle driven by New Berlin native Nicholas Rindt, who had two child passengers. He was taken to Froedtert Hospital by an ambulance.

The children riding with Rindt were taken to Children’s Hospital. Their conditions were unknown following the accident.
