Dangerous Driving Conditions Plague Southeast Wisconsin

Inclement weather across southeast Wisconsin, including black ice and freezing rain, has resulted in dangerous driving conditions and subsequent accidents throughout the region. In Waukesha alone, the local police force was called out in response to several highway accidents that occurred in just one day. Additionally, the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office responded to more than 12 accidents that were reportedly caused by dangerous driving conditions.

To try and help mitigate the effects of this winter weather, salt trucks were deployed to affected areas to try and help improve safety on the roads.

While drivers do not have control over the weather in their region, they do have control over how they drive when conditions are not favorable. Unfortunately, far too many motorists are reckless behind the wheel in inclement weather, exposing themselves and everyone around them to serious risk. If you or someone you love has been injured because of another driver’s unsafe actions behind the wheel, you may be eligible for compensation.
