Three injured in crash at hospital

A woman and two children were injured after the car they were passengers in crashed into a brick pillar outside Wheaton Franciscan St. Joseph’s Hospital on West Burleigh Street in Milwaukee at 11pm on Monday. The woman, 19 years-old, is in critical condition, and a girl of 6 months is in serious condition. The third passenger, a 1 year-old boy, also sustained injuries in the crash.

The police stated that the reckless driver ran a red light, missed hitting another car, and then rammed into a pillar outside the hospital. The identity of the driver is known, and he, a 23 year-old male, is currently wanted by the Milwaukee police. He suffered minor injuries, but fled after the incident. There was no comment as to if the driver was intoxicated or driving at dangerously high speeds.

The police report additionally included that the children involved in the crash were in car seats, but those seats were not properly connected to the car.
