Friday morning an 18-year-old woman harmed in a horrific truck accident in Lake Delton. According to the Baraboo News Republic, the woman was, “from outside the United States [and] was working in the Dells for the summer.” The accident took place on Wisconsin Dells Parkway at East Adams Street,

The News Republic reports, “the vehicle involved in the collision was a Waste Management truck that was making a turn from East Adams Street onto the Parkway when it was struck on the right side by a bicycle that was being legally ridden on the sidewalk.” The truck dragged bike and cyclist until it realized what had happened. The driver then stopped the truck and tried to help.

The woman was apparently taken by ambulance to the airport for a life flight to the hospital, but the doctor at the airport pronounced her dead.
