27-year-old dead in single-vehicle accident

According to police, a man was killed on Monday in a single-vehicle accident in which his car swerved off Green Bay Road in Pleasant Prairie.

The crash was called in by a passing diver around 1:07 PM Monday. The caller said his daughter had seen a crumpled car about 25 yards off the road, near Springbrook Road.

The 27-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. His car had knocked down a number of small trees before flipping upside down.

Friends and family say that the driver was headed to Kenosha at the time of the crash.

Speeding is believed to have been a factor in the accident and police are currently investigating to determine any other possible causes.
