Wisconsin Man Sentenced to 9 Months for OWI

A fifty-two-year-old man from Wisconsin was recently sentenced to nine months in jail for driving while under the influence of alcohol and hitting and severely injuring a pedestrian.

The accident occured a few days ago, shortly after midnight. The man had been drinking and driving, hit the pedestrian, and kept driving with the pedestrian under the vehicle. The accident caused the pedestrian to become deaf in his right ear. The driver was found to have a blood-alcohol content of 0.204.

In addition to spending nine months in jail, the driver of the vehicle had his license taken away and was ordered to pay over $2,000 in fines.
