Several models affected in auto recall

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that roughly 311,000 2009-2011 Honda Pilots and more than 500,000 Subaru vehicles are being recalled.

A seatbelt malfunction, which could cause the seatbelt to disconnect from the anchor webbing, in the Pilots is the reason why Honda is recalling the vehicles, which have been sold nationwide. The automaker reported that they found the stitching to be incomplete or missing and, in case of an accident, could cause the seatbelts across the lap to be disconnected and potentially increase the risk of injuries.

Nearly 200,000 2010-2011 Subaru Legacies and Outbacks are being recalled for a wiper motor malfunction that could potentially become a fire hazard. Almost 300,000 2003-2008 Foresters, 2002-2007 Imprezas, and 2005-2006 Saab 9-2xes are being recalled after drivers reported the front arm controls became corroded and broke. This could cause the cars to become difficult to control. No injuries or accidents have been reported due to the recall.
