Father killed in motorcycle hit-and-run

A 53 year-old father of eight died last week after a concrete truck ran into his motorcycle on Interstate 45 south of Houston, Texas. The truck’s driver, a 60 year-old man, only stopped to move the motorcycle off of the road and then kept driving.

Investigators were able to find the driver after learning the accident was caught on camera from a nearby hotel’s security system. After tracking down the concrete company, they found and arrested the driver. He is charged with causing an accident resulting in death or injury.

The man could spend up to ten years behind bars and be forced to pay $10,000 in fines if he is convicted.

Our deepest sympathies are with the family and friends of the victim who died in this tragic accident.
