Three high school students die in car accident

Three teenage girls lost their lives this weekend after the car they were riding in rolled several times just west of Campbellsport.

The 18 year-old driver lost control of her vehicle just after 3:30 am Saturday. A total of nine people were in the SUV at the time of the crash. Four girls are currently in critical condition, and two are in stable condition.

Officers say the car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed. Some of the girls were ejected from the vehicle since they were not wearing their seatbelts. The nine teenagers were all on the Campbellsport High School varsity and junior varsity soccer teams.

Our deepest sympathies are with the friends and families of the girls affected by the accident.
