Snowmobile accidents kill two

Two snowmobile accidents that occurred over the weekend killed two people in Wisconsin.

Snowmobilers on Beaver Dam Lake plunged into open water Saturday night. Of the six that fell into the freezing lake, four were taken to the hospital. A 45 year-old Neohso man did not survive.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Conservation is urging people to stay off of Beaver Dam Lake because it is extremely unstable.

That same day another snowmobile occurred in Langland County that killed a 58 year-old woman. Sheriff’s deputies say she struck a tree and lost consciousness. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
