Man faces homicide charges for crash that killed wife

Homicide charges have been brought against a 38 year-old Oshkosh man after he caused a fatal car accident that killed his wife. The man was found to be legally drunk after authorities and emergency responders arrived at the scene of the crash early New Year’s Day.

Alcohol, speed, and snowy road conditions were significant factors in the crash. The criminal complaint says the couple were driving home from New Year’s Eve celebrations when their car drove into a ditch.

If the man is found guilty of charges related to intoxicated vehicular homicide, he could face $225,000 in fines and 60 years in prison.
