Six students injured in collision between van and pickup

Six Spooner high school students were injured Wednesday morning when the school-owned van they were riding in was struck by a pickup truck. A teacher was driving the van westbound on Highway 63 and Green Valley Road when it collided with a southbound pickup.

According to the New Richmond News, all six students were taken to Spooner Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Neither of the drivers were injured in the crash. The students have since been released from the hospital.

At this time, no citations have been issued. It has not been determined who is at fault for the crash, and the Wisconsin State Patrol continues to investigate.
