Waukesha car accident claims woman’s life

A woman was killed early Sunday morning, July 21, after her car collided with another vehicle in the 1100 block of East Moreland Boulevard near Murray Avenue before slamming into a tree.

According to WISN 12 News and Waukesha Police Sergeant Joe Hendricks, the other driver was brought to Waukesha Memorial Hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.

Hendricks said they are looking at speed as a possible factor as to why the accident happened. However, police authorities are still conducting investigations to determine the cause of the wreck.

The police have yet to release the names of the drivers.

East Moreland Boulevard between White Rock Avenue and Manhattan Drive was closed for more than a few hours after the accident.
