Pound car accident kills one

The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office has reported a head-on collision, which resulted in one man’s death on September 27.

Forty-three-year-old Lemont, Illinois resident Joseph Hayes was driving south in the northbound lane on U.S. Route 141 in the Town of Pound, Wisconsin at around 10:54 p.m. when he hit the vehicle driven by 21-year-old Niagara, Wisconsin resident Kristian Reed.

According to the police, two other vehicles were involved in the late Friday night car crash. The police added that they are looking at alcohol as a determining factor as to why the accident took place.
