One dead and one arrested due to Merton car accident

A 31-year-old resident of Merton, Wisconsin was killed after being involved in a single-car crash Friday, November 22 at around 2 a.m.

According to the probe conducted by the police, the car was heading southbound on Center Oak Road in the area of Dobbertin Road when the driver missed a turn and crashed into a tree.

Emergency medical responders brought the driver, who is yet to be identified by the police to the public, and the passenger, who was from the Town of Merton, to the Waukesha Memorial Hospital to receive medical attention.

Police officials from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department are still conducting an investigation to gather further details surrounding the car accident. However, the driver was arrested and charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
