Car-school bus accident in Grafton sends two to hospital

A John Long Middle School bus and an automobile collided on Wednesday, May 1 in Grafton, Wisconsin, resulting in indeterminate injuries to the vehicle driver, minor injuries to one bus passenger, and only minor bumps and bruises to the rest of the school bus passengers and the bus driver.

According to preliminary police investigations, a red car crashed into the school bus at the intersection of Falls Road and Wisconsin Avenue.

The driver of the car, who police investigators have yet to identify, had to be extricated by rescue workers from his vehicle and was taken to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. His condition is unknown at the time.

One of the students in the school bus also had to be taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Even in a large vehicle like a bus, collisions with other vehicles can be devastating, resulting in serious injuries and worse.
