Driver critically injured after Fond du Lac rollover accident

A rollover crash on Highway 41 near the Highway B overpass in south Fond du Lac  resulted in one person sustaining critical injuries, the FDL Reporter stated on June 16.

At around 7:07 a.m. that morning, the Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Office, Oakfield Fire Department and First Responders arrived at the scene in response to accident reports. The crash caused the closure of both traffic lanes for a significant number of hours; one of the lanes remained closed until 3 p.m.

According to Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant William Tadych, 22-year-old Lomira resident Jeffrey Thill was driving along the highway when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll over multiple times before coming to a stop on the median. Thill was thrown from the vehicle, resulting in serious injury. He was flown via Flight for Life to the Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. His passenger, 21-year-old north Fond du Lac resident Katelyn Freund, acquired minor injuries and was brought to St. Agnes Hospital.
