One teen dead in Waukesha County accident

A teenager involved in a single-vehicle accident in Waukesha County on August 2 succumbed to her injuries after a couple of days in the hospital, Fox 6 reported on August 6.

The victim was identified as Waukesha North High School student and softball player Alyse Krauss, Waukesha Schools Superintendent Todd Gray said. Krauss and another unnamed passenger in the vehicle sustained critical wounds after the car they rode in hit a tree off of Ryan Road. Krauss was flown via Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital, while the other passenger, a Pewaukee local, was driven by ambulance to the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

According to preliminary assessments made by the police investigators, it appears as though the driver lost control of the vehicle around a curve, although investigation into the incident continues.

The attorneys at Habush Habush & Rottier hope for the full recovery of the injured teen and extend their sincere condolences to the friends and family suffering during this difficult time.
