Teen charged in fatal Milwaukee hit-and-run

An 18-year-old boy was recently charged in the hit-and-run death of an elderly couple in Milwaukee, reported.

According to reports, Michael Hobbs was driving a stolen SUV 78 miles per hour in a residential neighborhood near 84th and Wilbur when he missed a stop sign and slammed into a Buick Century and one other car. Hobbs and a female passenger then fled in a friend’s car that was following the SUV. Bernie Hanson, 74, and Mary Hanson, 64, both died in the accident. Hobbs was put on probation less than a month ago for stealing a car and disorderly conduct in 2014. For this incident, Hobbs was charged with hit-and-run, second degree reckless homicide, and operating a stolen vehicle.
