Suspect in armed robbery causes fatal car crash

Fifty-four-year-old Milwaukee resident Edward Adams lost his life after a 22-year-old who was evading police crashed into his vehicle at the intersection of 53rd and Center on April 28, CBS 58 reported.

The unnamed suspect allegedly attempted an armed robbery in the parking lot of a bank and was trying to escape the scene. The suspect was pursued by police and successfully taken into custody upon capture at a nearby apartment complex. Details about the charges he will face were not reported in the article.

Adams’ little brother Vincent said the incident happened around the time Adams would have been picking something up for lunch on his way to work.

A few moments after Edwards was struck by the suspect’s getaway vehicle, a police officer who in hot pursuit of the suspect was also hit.

Adams was survived by his two children, his mother, four sisters, and three brothers.
