Car accident results in death of Middleton, WI resident

An automobile crash that happened along the 100 block of Seawall Boulevard in Galveston, TX on Sunday, July 19, resulted in the death of a woman from Wisconsin.

The victim was identified as 55-year-old Middleton resident Susanne “Susi” Wolff. According to her obituary, posted on Wednesday, July 22, she was with a Wisconsin man when the accident happened. The two were visiting the island for the day, Galveston officials said.

Her obituary further noted that Wolff worked as a multiple sclerosis registered nurse in neurology at Dean Clinic and SSM Health. A spokeswoman for the hospital said that Wolff “brought endless gifts of kindness and compassion to her family, friends, patients, and coworkers” and that “she was a vital part of the Dean Clinic Neurology Department.”

Reports indicate that Wolff’s vehicle was struck by a Ford F150 pickup truck that was allegedly racing another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle has been charged with manslaughter and aggravated assault.
